2007 Bailey Bordeaux 6 electrical fault

When connected to mains power my on-board DC voltmeter goes off the clock (more than 16 volts DC. What do I need to fix or check?

As I understand the circuit diagram it seems that the control of voltage from 240ac mains power to 12volt DC is controlled by the on board charger only, is this correct?

Where is the charger located please?

More about onboard charger problem
by: Gavin Crawley

Since my first post I did some more investigation. I disconnected the 240volt lead and turned off all the breakers on the power box under the left hand dining area seat.

Disconnected the negative from the battery and removed the 4 screws that hold the cover on the power distribution box. with a bit of fiddling, jiggling the cover came out. At the top of the panel there is a box (the battery charger) that is connected to 240volt supply by a jug cord type plug, I removed this and also the smaller white plug with 2 black and 2 red wires (12volt out circuits).

After getting the unit tested- it was faulty- so I have replaced it with a Sinigex 12/12 Surecharge 4 step smart charger, with built in cooling fan.
The new unit would not fit into the original spot but there is plenty of room behind the power supply box just needs the jug cord plug socket changed to a 3 pin socket and the 2 red and 2 black wires extended by about 600mm. All good now.
