It all depends on what model of the Solar you have.I think the awning sizes for the Solar models are as follows:

Solar 462 is 905cm
Solar 465 is 908cm
Solar 524 is 979cm

Lunar Meteorite S Caravan Awning

I have a 12ft Lunar Meteorite S model Caravan.
What size awning do I require as I am confused.
The rail measurements from floor to floor = 713cm which indicates it is for a 10ft caravan not a 12ft.

Therefore would anyone know if I need to go by measurement of rail for awning or length of caravan.

On our website, you will find full intructions on how to measure your caravan for an awning. Providing that you have followed these correctly, it should give you the correct measurement. However, I think the 1992 model of the Lunar Meteorite S has an awning size of about 747cm.

I think the awning size you need is 1053cm and I think the model of the Avondale 555 your friend has is an Argente. If this is the case, the awning size for the Argente is about 972cm and would therefore be too small for your caravan.

Caravan Awning Size - Lunar Premier 417 caravan 1994

We had a Lunar Premier 417 caravan 1994 (now sold) and it came with a Tuscany Pyramid awning. I want to sell the awning but do not know what size it is. I believe the caravan size may have been 925 (no-one can confirm this) but when I measure the actual awning thread it only measures 840cms. So the question is - When measuring the caravan for awning size it is floor to floor BUT is the actual track on the awning itself from the bottom of the rail to the bottom of the rail. So my awning measures 840cms, do I need to add the floor to the rail x 2 to get the actual size of it.

I believe the actual size awning for a Lunar Premier 417 is 947cm. You are correct that when measuring for an awning, you have to measure from ground to ground (full details on how to measure your caravan or an awning can be found on our website). Given that you have actually measured the awning thread at 840cm, adding the ground to caravan measurements would probably give you an awning size of about 947cm.

If as you say the Lunar Galaxy is based on the Zenith, then the Zenith 6 has an awning size of 1000cm.

I think the awning size for your Kensington is 950cm. However, you should not take these sizes as gospel and should always measure your caravan yourself. Full details on how to measure your caravan for awning sizes can be found on our website.

Alternatively, most awning manufacturers should be able to tell you what size awning you should require.

It all depends on the model of the Premier you have. The 415 has an awning size of 851cm, the 515 has an awning size of 864cm and the 516L has an awning size of 902cm. Lunar Meteorite Flooring

I am currently trying to fit grey and fresh water tanks under the floor of my Lunar Meteorite but can only do so if I remove the timber batton running from front to rear, it doesn't seem to be taking any load bit I'm hoping someone can tell me if this will affect the strength of the floor, in other words am I able to do it without stuffing up the caravan - Thanks

I would advise not to remove any parts from you floor, even if they don't look structural they have been put there for a reason and could affect the strength of your floor if removed. I would suggest that you stick to the traditional Aquaroll and Wastemaster.

As to what awning manufacturer you should go for, it is entirely up to you. It will also depend on how often you intend using it. If you want a top of the range awning, then go for an Isabella. They are expensive, but the quality is fantastic. Personally, we have always had a Dorema and have never had any problems with them.
