Awning Size - 1985 Sprite Alpine

I have a 1985 Sprite Alpine 12ft caravan. Last month I decided to move it from the storage yard where it has stood for the last 8 years! Its a fab caravan and I have decided to, once again, use it for a holiday. Can anyone tell me what, modern, awning I could buy that would fit? I would like one that gave me the maximum floor space.

Thank you - Carole

I think the size you need is about 750cm, however I always advise that you measure yourself. Full details on how to do this can be found on our website. As to what make, it is up to you. I would suggest that you go to a local dealer. Most dealers have awnings on display so you can get some idea of style, size and space.

Awning for Sprite Alpine
by: Ollie

Don't know how old this thread is as I can't find a date but I have an 'as new' Bradcot Sport 720 awning which we used only about 3 times on our Alpine before getting a larger 'van. Main colour is burgundy and it is in very good condition. Can be bought for £135 o.v.n.o. Tel. 0117 9569892

Awning Size - Sprite Musketeer LE

by Sally
(Nottingham)

Hi, how do I tell if my NEW!!! caravan is 1991 or 1992 and what size awning should I buy. It is a Sprite Musketeer LE
Thanks
Sally

I cannot be sure but I Think the awning size that you need is about 827cm. However, we always advise that you double check this by measuring your caravan yourself. Full details on how to do this can be found on our website.

As to establishing the age of your caravan, if it was built 1992. that was the year that the CRiS (Caravan Registration and Indentification Scheme)was introduced and UK manufactured caravans were given a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This is normally documented with the owner information and recored at the CRiS headquarters. The number should also be etched on the caravan windows.
