I was wondering if any one could help. I have just carried out a service and have the new Alko hub nuts ready to fit and wanted to know the hub nut torque setting for them in Nm. I have been advised of 290NM is this correct please?
A torque setting of 290Nm seems a bit high. I have a Bailey Indiana and the torque setting for my alloy wheels is 110Nm and it would be slightly less for steel wheels (88Nm). You should also rememeber to tighten your bolts in the correct sequence (i.e. North, South, East, West). It is as dangerous to overtighten bolts as it is to not tighten them sufficiently. I would try contacting Bailey direct via their website and ask them the correct torque setting for your caravan. Their website address is www.bailey-caravans.co.uk.

Could anyone tell me what is the difference between a 2010 model and a 2011 model caravan as I am buying a 2011 model and the price difference is huge.
To be perfectly honest, I am not really sure. I should imagine there is not alot of difference apart for the usual changes ie. Upholstery, curtains etc. I would search the internet to find the best deal.

I am trying to find two caravan corner steadies for my Ranger 520-4 2005 1 x left front and 1 x left rear. I have been to you have to measure something to get the correct ones but not sure please can you help.
There are basically two options. One is to go to your local caravan dealer and tell them the make and model of your caravan. They should be able to supply you with the correct size corner steadies. The second and probably cheapest option is to go through a caravan breakers yard. Most offer a mail order service. Just give them a ring and they should be able to sort you out. A list of breakers can be found on our website.

Does anyone know the measurements of the mattress in this caravan. It is the one that has the bottom corner cut out. The style of caravan it the L shaped lounge with the end washroom.
Your best bet would be to contact Bailey Cravans direct. They should be able to tell the exact size mattress that was fitted in your model. Their website address is www.bailey-caravans.co.uk

Would you happen to know how the grab handles light up when not connected to the car? This has been intriguing me for a while now! Many thanks for your help.
I am not really sure to be perfectly honest. If it does not say in your handbook, I would try contacting Bailey Caravans direct. You can email them direct at the following address:

Does any one have a 2001 Bailey Senator caravan and could tell me the height of it? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks again for any help.
I think the overall height for a 2001 Senator is 8ft 10 inches (2.710 mtrs).
Has anyone got a copy of the internal layout for a 1994 Bailey Discovery SE Magenta caravan. Many thanks for any help anyone could give me with this.
Try contacting Bailey Caravans customer service to see if they can supply you with the information that you need. Their website address is www.baileyofbristol.co.uk.

Hi, I'm looking for a replacement door lock for a Bailey Beachcomber 1995 (500/5) caravan. I have tried many avenues with no success - can you please help?
Bailey have just launched a Parts Direct website at www.bailey-parts.co.uk. You could try there. However, you could always try a caravan breakers yard. Most offer a mail order service so travelling should not be a problem. A list of breakers can be found on our website.
I am informed by some owners that cracks are evident in the corners of the structure. I have seen this fault for myself on new models at two different dealers.
Are Bailey aware of the faults and if so what action is being taken to rectify?
Thanks
I have not come across or heard about this problem. When you came across this fault at the dealers, did you ask them about it? I will contact Bailey and see what I can find out.

I have just purchased a 2006 Bailey Senator Series 5 and there are only 2 cushions for the seating area. Do you know where I could purchase another two the same?
Cheers Andrew....
We would suggest that you contact Bailey direct even though you have an older caravan. We always find Kelly at Bailey will do her best to help you. Her e-mail address is kelly@bailey-caravans.co.uk. Alternatively, the only other place to try would be some Caravan Breakers. A list of Caravan Breakers can be found on our website under Caravan Spares. Hope this helps.
Please could someone advise what is the length of the bench seats in this caravan? I am hoping someone has the same caravan and can measure them for me. Thanks
I think that the length of the front bench seats are 3'9". You could however ask Bailey Caravans at www.bailey-caravans.co.uk just to make sure.

I have a 2008 Bailey Ranger 550/6 caravan and on a recent trip have discovered the Truma regulator has developed a fault. On looking to have this replaced I need to know the pipe size being either 8mm or 10mm. Does anyone know the size of pipe used so I can arrange the correct part to be fitted. I have contacted Bailey who have advised I need to go to a dealer, with the dealer being almost 2 hour round trip I'd like to get this done by my mobile caravan mechanic when this is serviced in a few weeks.
Thanks
If you phone your mobile caravan mechanic, he/she should be able to advise you exactly what the pipe size should be.

We bought our caravan, with a year's guarantee and in good faith, from a reptable dealer last August. It has smelt damp during the winter but I wasn't too sure if that was significant, this being our first van. Last week I noticed a buldge (which pushes in and out)in the rear internal wall and a front window is leaking causing a grey stain in the decor beneath. The dealer has agreed to mend it under guarantee but I am deeply disapointed that we should have found such serious trouble so soon after purchase. How do we know that all the damp will be eradicated and will it reappear again after the guarantee is over? Should we cut our losses now and sell it after the repair? Can we ask the dealer to buy it back from us?
There really is no guarantee that the damp won't reappear. However, having said that, if the repair is done properly, you should not have a problem. Once the repair has been done and the caravan has fully dried out, the dealer should do a damp test. Ask to see a report or better still, ask to be there when they do the test. If you are not happy with the results, don't take the van back until you are satisfied.
Could you please tell me the year this caravan was released or do you know where I could find out this information from? Many thanks for any help you can give me. Keith
I believe the Maestro model was first introduced in 1970 and lasted until about 1987. I would suggest that you contact Bailey Caravans direct and they should be able to tell you exactly what year the Bailey Maestro L was first released. Their website address is www.bailey-caravans.co.uk.

Please could someone help me as I need to know the correct size awning for my Bailey Ranger 510/4 GT50 1997 caravan as I don't want to purchase the wrong size!
I think the awning size you need is 950cm. However we always advise that you double check this by measuring your caravan yourself. Full details on how to do this can be found on our website.
