Bailey continues record breaking run of results at the NEC
Bailey of Bristol has continued its record breaking run of results at the recent Boat & Caravan Show, held at the NEC, where the company secured retail orders to the value of £6.7 million compared with £4.5 million at the same event last year.
This represents a 48% increase by value and is the company's best ever performance at this exhibition. In the current economic climate this is clearly an outstanding result for Bailey in particular and also the industry in general, with more
evidence that people are continuing to favour value for money stay at home holidays instead of travelling abroad.
Much of this achievement was due to the positive public reaction to the new Bailey Pegasus and Olympus caravan ranges, featuring the ground breaking new Alu-Tech body shell construction system, which accounted for 90% of the total business written.
Following the public acceptance of this award winning technology Bailey will now look to roll it across the whole product portfolio within the next twelve months.
Sales success was mirrored in the results of The Caravan Club Caravan Design Awards 2010 announced during the show, where, for the second year running Bailey has won an unprecedented four of the five categories in which it entered products. The four
titles were split evenly between the Pegasus and Olympus product ranges reflecting Bailey's unrivalled ability to bring successful and innovative new designs to market.
In response to this surge in demand the company has now implemented a measured increase in its production volumes to ensure that there is an adequate supply of caravans available throughout the summer. Customers interested in viewing the current Bailey model line up should contact their local Bailey agent the details of which can be
found by visiting www.bailey-caravans.co.uk/retailer-network/uk-network.
Olympus display models will be arriving on Retailer Forecourts from mid-March onwards.

arrangements to general safety.

Bailey Olympus - for your holidays of a lifetime
Olympus is a leisure vehicle that allows you to enjoy life to the full. Providing performance and value in equal measure, it is a caravan that will make you re-think where and when you choose to get away from it all.
Olympus - For your holidays of a lifetime
Olympus is the second UK caravan range to incorporate the Alu-Tech body shell. The result of the most comprehensive product design programme the industry has ever undertaken, this state of the art technology provides numerous benefits of ownership most notably a market leading ten year body shell integrity guarantee* for additional peace of mind and Grade III Classification of Thermal Insulation (EN1645-I) allowing you to caravan all year round.
Built with practicality in mind the new Bailey Olympus is much more than just a high performance body shell. Models also come supplied with the latest road safety equipment, including the AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System an AL-KO AKS hitch, AL-KO shock absorbers, to ensure trouble-free towing, whilst the optional AL-KO Secure wheel lock provides added protection for your investment on site.
Innovation does not stop at the entrance door either. Inside the first thing you will notice is the feeling of extra space. This is created by an increase in internal headroom which is now, thanks to the flat panel roof construction, a market leading 1.96m (6'5") throughout the length of the caravan.
A suite of floating fascia overhead lockers, with sturdy structural dividers, makes practical use of this additional height by maximising the high level storage capacity available.
The unique Alu-Tech body shell profile also produces extra room at the front of the caravan resulting in a more spacious lounge, featuring a window shelf wide enough to become a dedicated television station.
Packed with home comforts Olympus provides you with everything you will need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Well equipped kitchens feature a built in microwave, a spacious
Thetford 107 litre refrigerator plus a re-engineered Spinflo 4-burner gas hob and large capacity sink all as standard. Entertainment systems are upgraded too with the inclusion of a branded stereo Radio/CD/MP3 player with iPod connectivity, complete with dual cone speakers for superior sound quality.
Models are available in a choice of two contrasting soft furnishing schemes in a wrap around configuration and come supplied with a full compliment of arm rests and scatters. While superior quality cushion construction and fully sprung base supports ensures that this caravan is every bit as comfortable as it looks.
Contemporary furniture designs in the Bailey 'pear' finish are enhanced with the introduction of new high gloss worktop laminates and premium quality fixtures and fittings in matt nickel and this stylish interior is shown to its best advantage by clear canopy maxi and mini Heki rooflights by day and a battery friendly low voltage LED lighting system by night.
In short Olympus has it all and, thanks to the Bailey trademark value for money package, it is now available for considerably less than you might think.

Senator Series 6 - Product Announcement
The Bailey Retailer Network has enjoyed a record year with the franchise, securing in excess of 9,500 retail sales orders during the 2009 calendar year.
Instrumental in this success has been the introduction of the ground-breaking new Pegasus range which has accounted for in excess of 65% of total retail business since launch. However this has been to the detriment of the performance of Senator
Series 6 - to the extent that this established range no longer generates enough orders to justify its continued inclusion within the portfolio.
In line with the Bailey policy of responding to customer feedback and building what the market demands, the decision has therefore been taken to discontinue the production of Senator Series 6 with immediate effect. There are a few remaining models
within the Retailer Network and anybody interested in acquiring one of these units should contact the Bailey Customer Helpline on either helpline@bailey-caravans.co.uk or 0117-3052939 for information on availability.
As is standard practise Bailey will continue to maintain a full after sales and replacement parts supply service for Senator models up to ten years old and a partial parts supply service for models older than that.
The second range to incorporate the Alu-Tech body shell will be the Bailey Olympus which will be unveiled at the Boat and Caravan Show, NEC, Birmingham on Tuesday 23rd February. We also remain committed to the introduction of additional new product
ranges featuring this construction system in other sectors of the market in the future.

Bailey of Bristol records best ever annual retail sales performance
Bailey of Bristol has recorded its best ever annual retail sales performance, with in excess of 9,500 retail orders received during the 2009 calendar year. This represents a 20% increase on 2008 figures and equates to a market share approaching 40% - which not only cements Bailey's position as the UK's most popular caravan brand, but also now makes it one of the largest in Europe.
The company has continued to perform strongly over the past twelve months in spite of the tough economic climate. It has been quick to bring a number of innovative new products to market to ensure that demand for its touring caravans remains
high.
Bailey has also benefited from a growth in popularity in caravanning in general with many people now opting for value for money stay at home holidays instead of travelling abroad.
Central to this success was the launch of the Pegasus range, featuring the ground-breaking new Alu-Tech body shell construction system. This has been the most significant
development in caravan design for over thirty years to produce a vehicle that is a triumph of engineering and technological advancement that offers real advantages of ownership; advantages that lead Bailey to believe that one day all caravans will be made this way.
During this period Bailey has also continued with its factory investment programme, most significantly by installing a further two new laminating lines at a cost of £1 million each. The company has also acquired 6 acres of land adjacent to its
South Liberty Lane production facility, increasing the site area by 40%, to support future expansion plans.
Together these two developments not only show the Company's ongoing commitment to improving the quality of its products and services, but also its confidence in the future of the market. Seen now by many as the market leaders in terms of innovation
Bailey continues to remain positive looking forward, with a number of major project launches, featuring the roll-out of the Alu-Tech construction system, plus a new investment programme scheduled for the next twelve months.
