Buying A Caravan

I am a newbie in caravaning. I have had a loan of a caravan for last season and loved it. Now in a position to buy a 4 or 5 berth but wondered about two things. Sould I be trying to stick to single axel ? I heard that some continental campsites don't accept double axel and should I be worried about buying caravan with door on drivers side ? will this upset neighbours in Ireland and UK ?

Thanks

Eoin

The first thing you have to consider when buying a caravan, is what weight will my car be able to tow safetly. The correct way would be to work out 85% of your car's kerbweight. Once you have done that, you can start looking at caravans within that weight range. The question of single axle or twin axle will depend on if your car is heavier enough to tow a twin axle. Just remember single axle caravans are much easier to manoeuver. Most caravaners are very sociable, so I don't see a problem with doors on the drivers side.
