I am currently looking for a mesh door screen for my Bailey Vermont Series 5 caravan. Can anyone advise me of the best place to look? Many thanks for your help with this.
Bailey have just launched a Parts Direct website at www.bailey-parts.co.uk. You could try there. However, you could always try a caravan breakers yard. Most offer a mail order service so travelling should not be a problem. A list of breakers can be found on our website.

I've put the key in the door lock to open my caravan but the lock just goes round and it won't open the door, how will I be able to access my caravan if the lock is broken?
Unless anyone else has any ideas, I would suggest that you take your caravan to your local dealer and ask them to have a look at it for you. I am sure you are not the first person to experience this problem and will not be the last.
If anyone else has experienced this problem and knows how to over come it, please let us know and we will post the answer on the website.

Hi, I have a Lunar Lexon 585 SI which as an island bed and the only way to seperate the bedroom is by opening the tolet door and latching it open by the kitchen area. This means that the tolet door is always open. I am after a pleated folding door to separate the bedroom from the rest of the van when the beroom is in use. I have looked at using a curtain but the head of the curtain takes up to much room. Any ideas were I can get one of these doors rather then pay manafactures price.
Many Thanks

We have an Abbey Vogue 2007 and a 2 year old who can open the door from the inside. How can we secure the door so ha can't get out. The inside of the door operates by handle rather than key.
I am not sure there is anything on the market specifically designed to stop this happening for caravans apart for the standard household door furniture (i.e door bolt). However, caravan doors need to be easy to open in case there is a fire. You could always ask your local carvan dealer to see what they can advise.

Need to know where to buy spare "push-in" door knobs and the little plastic surround that goes in the door. Also spare 96mm pull handles for the drawers and cupboards.
I would try your local Bailey caravan dealer first. If you give them all the details of your caravan, e.g. model, year etc, they may be able to order them from Bailey for you.
Alternatively, you could always try the Bailey helpline. Their e-mail address is helpline@bailey-caravans.co.uk.
If they can't help you the only other option I can think of is to try a Caravan Breakers. If you look on our website on the Caravan Spares page, this gives you a list.
Hope the above helps - please let us know if you need any further information.

The lock on our Bailey is stiff due the plastic parts binding in the lock. I have tried easing it but it has not helped. Any ideas?
We had the same problem on our Bailey. We tried everything from WD40 to graphite paste. We even had the mechanics who serviced the caravan take the lock out and clean it but that did not work very well. In the end, because it was a new caravan, we had it changed under warranty.

The main door lock has become more and more stiff over the past year to the point where it takes far too much force with the key to open it. I forgot to mention it at service time and would like to try lubrication before replacement - but I can't get it off the door.
There are two self-tapping screws under a plastic cover but if these are removed the lock assembly is still firmly in place. I guess there is another fixing to be overcome to remove the lock and any advice on doing so would be much appreciated.
We had the same problem last year, we tried everything everything from WD40 to silicon spray and silcon grease but this did cure it. In the end we bit the bullet and took it to our local dealer and they sorted it out for us.

We have a Sterling Europa 520 (2007) and we are having difficulty with the door lock not turning correctly. Can we repair this or do we need to replace it???
We have had the same problem in the past and we tried using WD40 and other lubricants, but in the end we had to have our lock replaced. Luckily, it was done under warranty.

We have a Coachman Amara 500/5 year 2004 caravan and we cannot unlock the door. We have tried WD40, heat, prayers and curses, but it will still not unlock. The barrel, turns 90 degrees very loosely, but, there is no sound of movement, and handle only moves a tiny bit.
Help - what else can I try please?
The best thing you can do is to take your caravan to your local dealer and they should be able to open your door. It might be that the barrel has just come loose and needs tightening or you may need a replacement.
