I own a 2005 Coachman caravan and the front case has come off the fire - does anybody know the secret of refitting it as I seem to be able to fit the top or the bottom but not both at the same time.
Thank You,
Virginia
Removing and replacing the front cover can be a bit tricky. To replace the cover, you must start by lowering the cover on the retaining lugs at the bottom. Now guide the operating bar from below into the handle sleeve and allow the front cover to engage at the top.

We have a problem as the heating doesn't work in our Fleetwood caravan 2006. This caravan has the radiators under the seats and bed. The hot water works great though!
It sounds as if you have the Alde heating system. I have no experience of this sort of system but have heard alot of good reports on it. I would hazzard a guess that you might have trapped air in the system preventing the hot water to circulate properly. If anyone out there can offer any advice, please contact us and we will pass it on.

We have a Fleetwood Heritage with Alde heating. The pump seems to have stoped working - when you take the pump out and flick the impeller it starts spinning but as soon as you put it back in the tank it stops. Has anyone got any ideas where to get a new pump as Alde want nearly £100?
Have you considered asking your local caravan dealer to have a look at it just to make sure you do need a new pump? If you do require a new pump, you could always try a few Caravan Breakers (there is a list on our website). Does anyone else have any ideas?

I have a Swift Charisma caravan with a Truma space heater. When I turn it on, the green light on the switch is not visible. The fan is working, however, it does not get hot. Does anyone have any ideas why?
Hi Alan,
Because the space heater runs on both gas and electric, you really need to have this looked at by a qualified professional.
My advice would be for you to book your caravan into your local dealer and ask the to sort the problem out. You should not really try sort the problem out yourself on this one.

Do you know how I can remove the front cover on my caravan heater to allow my gas man to service it? Any help yo can give me would be much appreciated.
If you go onto the Truma website at www.trumauk.com, you will be able to download full details on the specific Truma model you have. This should advise you on how to remove your cover in both words and diagrams.

I bought a 2005 Pageant Monarch caravan and I am wondering how long the electric blown air system takes to heat the caravan because it is not very hot.
We have the same problem with our blown air heating. It seems to take an age to heat up. I found the best way around this, was to turn off the blown air system and then turn the heater onto its highest heat setting. Once the heater is hot, I turn the blown air system back on and run the speed of the fan on a low setting to circulate the warm air.

In my last coachman I used to travel down to Spain with the water system drained. this to save weight and also to alleviate any chance of freezing while travelling through France in January. My new van has the combined Central Heating and Hot water system. There is an option to have water temperature zero. If I have this option selected can I drain water but still use the electric central heating ?
I have asked Coachman several times but have not got a reply.
Thanks, Richard Swainston

I am pressuming that you have an Aldi system in your new van which I have never used. If Coachman don't reply to your emails, you could try telephoning their Aftercare Service on 01482 877405.

The electric heater switch in my Bailey Pageant Provence appears to have stopped working and I am unable to get the fuse out as the drawer is jammed. I believe these switches are prone to melt and fuse together. There are a number of switches on the market but I don't know which to choose. Can you tell me what exactly I need to replace it, and where I can get one from.
Your best bet would be to visit your local Bailey dealer and they should be able to provide you with everything that you need.

Hi
Just got a new to us caravan which has an aldi (I think) heating system. We can't get it working. The boiler gets hot, the radiator nearest the boiler gets hot on both in and out pipe. Further round it barely gets lukewarm and bleeding the radiator in the bathroom where we have found a valve only produces cold water.
We think there is an air lock somewhere but can't find anywhere else to bleed. Any help would be much appreciated.
Having never used the aldi system, I am not sure I can be of any help. Your best bet would be to ask your local caravan dealer to have a look at it for you. The will have mechanics there that should be able to sort it out for you.

Do you know if there a simple way of explaining how to get the heating on with this new central heating system please as we really struggle with it.
Many thanks for your help.
I think the heating system you have is the Alde Hydronic Compact 3010. This is totally new to me and I have never used this before. It might be contacting Alde to see if they can help. Their website address is www.alde.co.uk.

I would like to know if I can use my caravan heating to heat the awning, i.e. extend the pipes and drill a hole in the caravan with some sort of external flap.
There is an adaption kit on the market to convert the blown air heating in your caravan to heat your awning. However, a far more efficient way of heating your awning is to use a stand alone heater. These come in various guises and some have thermostats built in. We use a halogen heater which heats up really quickly and it has a safety cut out switch just in case it gets knocked over.

I am having a problem with the Alde 300 compact heating in my caravan - the hot water is fine (scalding actually) but its radiators remain completely cold.
It had a new pump fitted last winter and I can hear that working.
Any ideas anyone ?
Never having used the Alde system, I would not know where to start. You might try your local dealer to see if they can suggest anything.
However, if there is anyone reading this and would know what might be the problem, please contact us and we will pass on your comments.

I have a new swift with alde heating. I am perplexed as to the setting to bring on heat. How do you set the actual time of day on the clock in order to bring on heat at say 1800 hours. My big question is - how does the system know what time it is as there is no instructions in the manual to show how to set the actual live time of day. May be the system sets the actual live time by satellite but if that is so it is a pity instructions in the manual would not say so. Should I simply put 1800 hrs into the clock for on time for heat and the inbuilt clock will recognize 1800 hrs. I have asked staff at a Swift outlet and they could not answerr my question saying they had never benn asked that question before. Help me please or ring me 07977929986
Never having had a caravan that uses the Alde system, I can't answer your question. However, if there is anyone out there who can help, please lets us know and we will pass on the information

I have just bought a second hand caravan - a Lunar High Style Premiere 415, which has the above heater in it, and would like to know how to use it. Any advice please ?
I think you can download a manual for this. If you go to the following website, you should find it there: http://produtools.com/d/manuals.php

Would you possibly be able to help me - I need to know whether you can fit an Alde heating system to a Bailey Loire caravan which was manufactured in 2004? Many thanks.
Not having ever owned a caravan using the Alde Heating System, I would not really be able to advise you. Your best bet would be to visit your local caravan dealer and as onre of their technicians if this is feasible. Sorry I cannot be of much help

Hi, I,ve just purchased a caravan - I'm prepin it ready fro use and trying to get familiar with the heating as I'm planning a trip out the next few weeks and will definitly need the heating to be in A1 condition. It has a truama space heater but when I hooked it up on my driveway and was trying to heat the place up I just didn't know how? I just don't know which buttons do what, unfortunately it didn't come with any instructions. Could anyone give me an idiot guide.
Thanks
Andrea
The best thing you can do, is to log on to the Truma website (www.truma.com). Then search for the model of heater that you have. Once you have found it, you will be able to download the instruction manual for that specific model.
