Reich Move motor mover not driving forward

by David Spencer
(Leyland)

My Reich move control motor mover has suddenly stopped driving forward, reverse is not a problem. I have tried doing a reset but this has not changed the situation. I have not yet had time to inspect the problem further, I would like to hear from anyone who has had a similar situation.

Can anyone suggest anything David can try?

Caravan Mover

by James

I have a Freedom Jetstream fibreglass caravan. I would like an economical model but can't find a model that will fit. Has anyone had one fitted or know of one?

The best advice I can offer is to contact Freedom Caravans direct. They should be able to give you all the advice that you need. If you log onto their website at www.freeedomcaravans.com, there is a contact section there.

Reich Caravan Mover

by Steve
(Halifax)

Do you know if I can get the rollers re-coated and who will do them please?

I am not sure if these rollers can be re-coated. I know rollers on the some early models of the Reich movers did tend to wear out due to their composition of grit and resin and both the rollers and mountings would have to be replaced.

I would try to contact a supplier of Reich motor movers and ask them what they would suggest.

Is there anyone who has a Reich Motor Mover who can help Steve?

Which Caravan Mover to Buy?

by Sasha
(Herts UK)

I have a four berth single axle caravan that I want to get a mover for. Are all motor movers equal or are some more equal than others?! I don't want to spend a fortune and think one with automatic wheel engagement may be a good idea as I am not very strong and think I may struggle with a manual. Will also need a company with a fitting service as I won't be tackling it myself. Many thanks

Motor movers do vary in price and quality, but at the end of the day, they all do the same job. I would advise that you try your local caravan dealer and see what they can offer you. As a ball park figure you would be looking at about £800 fitted.

Caravan Mover

by Jim Forbes
(Glasgow)

I have a very old (1992) Elddis Force 2 van and would like to know if it can be fitted with a mover that will push it up my drive which is on a slope.

It should not be a problem. I would not advise fitting one yourself unless you are confident that you will be able to fit it. I would advise that you go to your local caravan dealer and see what deal they can offer you. You would probably looking at £800+ to have one fitted. You could also consider a mover which attaches to your hitch, something like a Mr Shifta. These are considerably cheaper but I have never used one, so cannot comment on how good they are.
