Reich Move motor mover not driving forward
by David Spencer
(Leyland)
My Reich move control motor mover has suddenly stopped driving forward, reverse is not a problem. I have tried doing a reset but this has not changed the situation. I have not yet had time to inspect the problem further, I would like to hear from anyone who has had a similar situation. Can anyone suggest anything David can try?

I have a Freedom Jetstream fibreglass caravan. I would like an economical model but can't find a model that will fit. Has anyone had one fitted or know of one?
The best advice I can offer is to contact Freedom Caravans direct. They should be able to give you all the advice that you need. If you log onto their website at www.freeedomcaravans.com, there is a contact section there.

Reich Caravan Mover

(Halifax)
Do you know if I can get the rollers re-coated and who will do them please?
I am not sure if these rollers can be re-coated. I know rollers on the some early models of the Reich movers did tend to wear out due to their composition of grit and resin and both the rollers and mountings would have to be replaced.
I would try to contact a supplier of Reich motor movers and ask them what they would suggest.
Is there anyone who has a Reich Motor Mover who can help Steve?

Which Caravan Mover to Buy?
by Sasha
(Herts UK)
I have a four berth single axle caravan that I want to get a mover for. Are all motor movers equal or are some more equal than others?! I don't want to spend a fortune and think one with automatic wheel engagement may be a good idea as I am not very strong and think I may struggle with a manual. Will also need a company with a fitting service as I won't be tackling it myself. Many thanks
Motor movers do vary in price and quality, but at the end of the day, they all do the same job. I would advise that you try your local caravan dealer and see what they can offer you. As a ball park figure you would be looking at about £800 fitted.

Caravan Mover

I have a very old (1992) Elddis Force 2 van and would like to know if it can be fitted with a mover that will push it up my drive which is on a slope.
It should not be a problem. I would not advise fitting one yourself unless you are confident that you will be able to fit it. I would advise that you go to your local caravan dealer and see what deal they can offer you. You would probably looking at £800+ to have one fitted. You could also consider a mover which attaches to your hitch, something like a Mr Shifta. These are considerably cheaper but I have never used one, so cannot comment on how good they are.

Motor Mover for Low Chassis Caravan
I have an old (1996) Lunar caravan and I am looking to get a motor mover fitted to help reversing up our steep drive. We have been told that some models can not be fitted due to the low chassis on our caravan. Are there any movers which would be suitable or conversion kits for fitting one available?
On our website we have a section on motor movers. The aritcle was written on our behalf by National Vechicle Solutions, who are experts in this field. If you contact them via the telephone number given at the end of the article, they will be able to give you all the advice that you need.

Battery for my Reich Mover
by Terry
(West Wales)
I am having problems with a 9 volt battery which I use for a caravan mover. Recently I tried a Duracell ultra power battery and used this once on site, came home and went to use it again but the mover didn't work again.
The mover works fine when I put the cable into the control box of the mover itself, therefore I don't know if I have a problem with the remote or the new 9 volt battery?
Have I a problem buying dud batteries or do I have a problem with the mover itself. (I have even bought several new 9 volt batteries but they do not last!)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Not being an expert in movers, I would suggest that you speak to National Vehicle Solutions. If you give them a ring on 0844 846 1707, they will be able to advise you exact what your problem is.
