Damaged Cable

Having just changed my tow vehicle I forgot to check the 12v cable and it dragged along the road wearing half of it away! thankfully the lights still work. Is there any way of repairing this without replacing the whole cable.


Unfortunately, this happened to us a couple of years ago. Because only the outside casing had worn and none of the casings on the inner wires had been damaged, all we did was to wrap a thick layer of PVDC tape around the damaged area. We have had no further problems and have also learnt a valuable lesson in making sure that our cable is never too slack so that it can drag on the floor again.
