Micro Switched Taps

I have a tap with a micro switch in it that has stopped working. The tap looks like a sealed unit. Is it possible to open the tap up and replace the micro switch?
If so please could you tell me how to do this.

It depends on the model of the tap. On some taps you need to prise off the temperate cap (red/blue) and the remove the screw and the tap head should lift off revealing the the micro switch. On other taps, you will need to look under the sink and you should find the micro switch at the base of the tap.
