Travelling with a Dog

I want to put my dog in his cage in the caravan while we travel but dont know if it is legal! We have just bought a saloon car and have three children so there isnt much room for him in the back. Thank you


I know it is illegal for a person to be in a caravan whilst it is being towed, but am not sure on pets. However, whilst towing a caravan does tend to get a bit bumpy inside, so I would advise it is not sensible to put your dog inside the caravan when towing because it might cause alot of distress to your dog.
