We have been given a huge tub of Universal Stone Eco Friendly Caravan and Motorhome Cleaner and have been asked to put it through it's paces!
On their website it says:
Universal Stone is an eco friendly cleaner for all the hard surfaces of your caravan or motorhome. Use it to clean and polish the outside AND the inside. It's compact, easy to use, long-lasting, kind to the environment, economical and gets great results.
- Doesn't scratch
- Use on any hard surface
- Contains no chemicals or acids
- Use inside and outside
- Long lasting and economical (one tub should last over a year!)
Universal Stone is a fully biodegradable, natural and environmentally friendly cleaner. It is kind to the skin and free of toxins, acids and phosphates. The glycerin in the product helps to maintain the skin's natural moisture balance, which means Universal Stone does not dry out your hands. Vegetable-based glycerin is a harmless substance, and it is used in many foods and moisturisers.
BUT, as well as using it on your caravan, you can use it all around the home.
So, we decided to try it in our house before giving it a test in and on our caravan.
It was so easy to use - it comes with sponges to apply it. It is dry and solid in the tub - you need to dampen the sponge first, rub the sponge over the cleaner then apply to whatever you are cleaning.
We decided to try and clean our white plastic windows - they were looking rather mouldy and green as they are above our conservatory so don't get a clean as often as they should!
As you can see from these pictures - they really are dirty !!!
It really was very easy to use. We applied it with the damp sponge then rubbed it off with a damp microfibre cloth - it was as easy as that! We didn't even have to wait for it to work! Have a look at the pictures below:
As you can see, it's amazing!! It was so easy and there was absolutely no waiting around for it to work - you just had to apply it and then wipe it off with all the dirt and then wipe over the window frame to get it completely clean. The only part of the window frame which didn't become sparkling was the mastic between the frame and the glass which we didn't expect to clean as it needs replacing really.
Now we have no excuse to get the rest of our plastic windows sparkling clean!!
Our next job is to try it out on our shower cubicle - we are
leaving it to get extremely dirty and will then see how it performs.
