Zoflora Gel Bin FreshOur Review

During the recent spell of hot weather we noticed that our kitchen started to smell rather bad and we sniffed out that it was coming from our bin. We were having to empty the kitchen bin into the outside wheelie bin every day to try and reduce the smell! Whilst putting the rubbish outside we noticed our wheelie bin smelt rather "ripe" as well!!We had just been contacted by Zoflora and asked to test the Gel Bin Fresh so decided that this was the perfect time to put it through its paces and see what it was made of! The Bin Fresh comes in a handy spray bottle so is extremely easy to apply to the bin. After washing the kitchen and wheelie bins thoroughly we left them to dry in the sun. We then sprayed the inside of each bin making sure that all the inside surfaces were covered with the gel. As the Bin Fresh is a gel rather than a watery liquid it sticks to the sides of the bin rather than just running down them. We then left both bins to dry again. Once dry, we put our bins back and rather than the usual rancid smell, they smelt really fresh, natural with no chemical smell, in fact an amazing smell for a bin freshener!!! It would be lovely to have this smell as a room freshener as it's so clean and natural smelling. They call it "Rainfresh" fragrance which describes it perfectly. Anyway, back to the bins! This bin fresh really does work. Our kitchen bin still smelt fresh the day after and we now only need to change the bag because it is full rather than stinky!! Every time we change the bin liner now we re-spray the inside of the bin which keeps it fresh rather than foul !!! Even the outside wheelie bin which only gets emptied once a fortnight smells much better than it did (although because it's left for two weeks and filled with unmentionable smelly rubbish, we reckon this is pretty good). This is a really great product which we wish we had found earlier. Not only does it keep our bin smelling fresh it also kills any germs and bacteria lurking inside. This is a perfect product for caravans and motorhomes to keep all your bins fresh and bacteria free – no rancid smelling bins in a small, confined area!!
